If Europe does continue down the path of “ever closer union” it will be by means of the increasing use of economic and political force, without mandate. Union will be foisted on the citizens of Europe.
Actually, right now, I think this is more likely to happen than the orderly and systematic unwinding of the euro monetary union and European Union itself.
We really shouldn’t underestimate either the fanatacism behind the great European project, or the phenomenal vested interests (financial and political) wrapped up within it.
These people now controlling our lives within the EU framework, some elected, most unelected (bankers, bureaucrats and corporate leaders mainly), are not going to fold up their tents and steal off in to the night just because some of us argue that the EU is a soft, complex dictatorship.
We’re facing at a least a decade of strife in Europe and the UK. That’s the main reason I’m encouraging and facilitating my ‘children’ (ages 18 years and 24 years) to migrate to the likes of Canada or some other Commonwealth nation. Anywhere but the UK or Europe, because we’re stuffed.
Hi Moraymint, I googled you after reading your reply to my ‘what steps are you taking to prepare’ comment. I agree with your article above, but I believe these globalist politicians and bankers are probably preparing for something similar in Canada and the commonwealth countries. I don’t think you can run away from them, I believe the only way is to fight them by whatever means is possible. For example, don’t use banks, don’t use mega companies.. What you think?
